The new AxiaLIF Plus logo was created to showcase product line expansion and stay within the newly established product family guidelines (Gray, gradient fill, with san serif fonts). With freedom with respect to all other aspects of the logo, we utilized a small/large caps font to bring consistency to the mark and call out LIF, which stands for Lumbar Interbody Fusion. Three square elements, each a different shade of blue, were chosen to represent the three product families. These colors were then used to signify each product in all future uses: technique manuals, website, packaging, etc.
The negative space between the squares and the “Plus” represent the + symbol, adding to the brand message.
